400 North Ervay
Fresco Ceilings, Marble Halls
There is genuinely nothing else like 400 North Ervay — the beautifully restored 1930 U.S. Post Office and Courthouse, where the homes carry hand-painted fresco ceilings, antique hardwood floors, soaring windows, and original marble wainscoting. It sits right next to a DART rail station and within an easy walk of the Dallas Arts District, restaurants, and parks, yet residents rave about how remarkably quiet and clean the halls and units stay — a rarity downtown. Apartments are modernized with built-in wireless surround sound, granite counters, and stainless appliances, and the building offers a historic Magistrate Lounge, a 24-hour gym, and a rooftop fire-pit deck with skyline views. The management team earns near-unanimous praise. For renters who want true architectural character and a boutique, well-run community, this landmark is in a class of its own.
